Arnošt Vančura (b Vamberk, c1750; d St Petersburg, Jan 1802) was a Czech and Russian composer. He served at the Imperial Theatres in St Petersburg, 1786-97, and was also a pianist. His works include a Russian opera (1787), three ‘national’ symphonies using folk melodies (1798) and keyboard pieces.
