Marek Napiórkowski (born on 27 October 1969 in Jelenia Góra) is a Polish jazz guitarist and a music compositor.

Music career

He has recorded over 100 CDs with various artists. He collaborated with such artists as: Pat Metheny, Richard Bona, Mino Cinelu, Gregoire Maret, Sugar Blue (Rolling Stones), Anna Maria Jopek, Tomasz Stańko, Henryk Miśkiewicz, Urszula Dudziak, Ewa Bem, Dorota Miskiewicz, Dhafer Youssef, Adam Holzman, Klaus Doldingerem (Passport), Wojciech Karolak, Janusz Muniak, Tomasz Szukalski, Krzysztof Ścierański, John "Ptaszyn" Wroblewski and others. In 2002 took part in the Anna Maria Jopek & Friends with Pat Metheny Intoxication (album) and two shows at the Congress Hall in Warsaw, with the winner of 15 Grammy Awards, guitarist Pat Metheny. In 2008, the album was released to the world. Year 2007 is the next album Anna Maria Jopek with stars of world jazz and world music - ID (catalog Emarcy 2008), Marek Napiórkowski credits include works with Christian McBride and Manu Katche and on tour promoting the disc with the participation of Richard Bona, Mino Cinelu and Dhafer Youssef. He released two albums copyrights (in the catalog of Universal Music Poland), both boards were nominated for Fryderyk Music Awards in the categories Jazz Album of the Year and Jazz Musician of the Year. 6 June 2005 released the album NAP, which featured his own compositions. Guest starring, among others Leszek Możdżer, Anna Maria Jopek and Henryk Miskiewicz. The 1 July 2007 acoustic album was released with Anna Maria Jopek, Mino Cinelu, Gregoire Maret (harmonica), Robert Majewski, Michał Tokaj, Robert and Michal Miskiewicz Kubiszyn. Album went gold. May 1, 2008, Mark Napiórkowski performing live cross by his work in the family Jelenia Gora with teams Funky Groove (Arthur Lesicki), Full Drive (Henryk Miskiewicz) and singers Anna Maria Jopek and Dorota Miskiewicz.He leads his own quartet and the band Funky Groove (the band's first album on Universal Jazz Catalogue Worldwide, both albums have been selected by the readers of albums, professional music magazine "Guitar and Bass"). In a poll of the Jazz Top magazine readers "Jazz Forum" Funky Groove team has been selected twice as an electric group of the year, and Marek Napiórkowski for several years at the forefront in the category Guitar.
