In this process the productive artist likes to integrate himself in different artistic constellations with project pseudonyms such as Saafi Brothers and Aural Float into ambient, space and experimental sound scapes…
Next to his music projects Gabriel also works with Aural Float on audiovisual concepts: as a team they did the artistic supervision of SPACENIGHT, a prototype of an integral TV-concept, utilizing spectacular film- and documentary footage from outer space with music made on earth. SPACENIGHT became a landmark success on german television and soon reached cult status among the young night watchers until today.
With an open mind and always in a search for fresh musical experiences, Gabriel keeps on exploring electronic music.
With his new vinyl label dub2dust records, Gabriel steps on a new ground, releasing electronic dance music with a special focus on the various colours of deep DubTechno and Dub inspired tech house.
As artists and remixers Marko Fürstenberg, Gabriel Le Mar, Frank Leicher, Quantec, Luke Hess and YouANDme will light a match this year for dub2dust, reflecting their passion and respect for the needs of a Dub head on the floor. The dub-feeling is clearly the inspiration behind the general flavor of the dub2dust sound and will demonstrate innovative efforts to offer interesting hybrids of techno/house music. Dub2Dust is operated by Gabriel Le Mar, Michael Heise and Carsten Schorr, based in Frankfurt am Main, Germany.
Appearances at festivals like Time Warp, Roskilde Festival, Sziget Festival, Tribal Gathering, Merkwürdiges Verhalten, Reworks, Move, Vision Festival, Ozora Fest, m4music.
“I am a music producer and create my own audiovisual work and perform it live. For me the whole visual thing is really a natural progression of remix culture and electronic music. My music style can best be described as modern electronic music ranging from Ambient to Dub to various forms of Techno.
I`m rooted to the club, combining playful approaches of Dub with the functionality and stringency of techhouse music. Bridges are built by more functional and minimal grooves. Expect a deep+soulful set…”
