Dan was raised in a musical household and influenced by his Father who plays guitar. Guitar, drums, bass and piano were among his core instruments growing up. Dan gained experience performing in a wide array of bands throughout his teenage years. He performed at venues such as the Knitting Factory and Colleges such as Wesleyan and Vassar, as well as other schools and venues throughout the Northeast.

In Time, Dan gained professional experience in creating and producing beats, as well as writing rhymes and performing Hip Hop originals, while attending

SAE Institute of Technology in Manhattan. Dan is a graduate of their Audio Technology Program. At SAE NY Dan met his production partner, Ash Loughlin of the U.K. Dan and Ash co-produce many of Newport Stress’ songs in addition to running their own audio production company.

Newport Stress’ musical collaboration began at a local party when Dan, who had already gained an interest in making Hip Hop Music, heard Joe free-styling. The duo began making songs together shortly after and Newport Stress emerged, priding themselves on professional, self made, production quality and powerful vocal delivery with honest rhymes.

They are currently in the studio working hard at their craft and are now represented by Eric “Smile” Smith and Antwan Walker of Conglomerate Management.
