Baden near Vienna, Austria (2007 – present)

RockBrew is a rock and roll band from Baden near Vienna, Austria. The band was formed in 2007 by Thomas Bartosik (vocals/guitar), Wolfgang ‘Knut’ Posch (lead guitar/vocals), Ambros Weissenhofer (bass) and Bernhard Sattra (drums/vocals) who have grown up with a healthy respect for fine classic rock & straightforward rock music.

Their sound is usually compared to that of rock legends like AC/DC, Deep Purple and ZZ Top though they also draw heavy influence from Paul Gilbert, Led Zeppelin and Extreme.

Starting off as a rock-cover band playing in local bars and working on compositions at the same time, they developed a unique style of their own including fast & heavy guitars, mighty drums, thunderous bass and powerful voices.

The lyrics epitomise the attitude of rock music—driven by heavy blues/rock licks—covering the road, sex, relationships, liquor and rock’n’roll music itself. They have a tendency to show sensitivity.

On August 6th 2011 they released their debut album “Serve Chilled”.

They recently played at the Donauinselfest, an annual open-air free music festival–Europe’s biggest open-air event after winning the “Rock the Island – Talent Contest”. In June 2011 they made an appearance at “88.6 – Der Musiksender”, an austrian radio station, promoting their first album.
