MY MIND AND MY BODY WILL OBEY MY SPIRIT

The Bible teachers us we are a three-part being; made in the image of God.

Genesis 1:26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.   

(27) So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

 Romans 8:1 And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of his Spirit who lives in you.

1 Thessalonians 5:23 ESV  Now may the God of peace himself sanctify you completely, and may your whole spirit and soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Galatians 5:16-17 ESV  But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. For the desires of the flesh are against the Spirit, and the desires of the Spirit are against the flesh, for these are opposed to each other, to keep you from doing the things you want to do.

1 Corinthians 6:19-20 ESV  Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.

Our Body is the temple of the Holy Ghost - 1 Cor 6:19

Genesis 2:4 – The serpent deceives

God accepted Abel and his offering and showed his acceptance of it. However, Cain and his offering God did not accept.  Cain led a bad life. The Bible describes Sin crouching at Cain’s door…just waiting for him (Gen 4:7)

 Genesis 4 - Descendants of Cain are successful

Genesis 5 - Descendants of Cain are wiped out

Gal 5:25 - If you live in the Spirit Walk in the Spirit

Philippians 3:8 – I refuse everything, for the excellency of know Jesus Christ (Paul)

Matthew 26:36-46 - Jesus in Gethsemane-Jesus kneeled down to pray (human side of him felt unease).

John 10:18 - No Man take my life I give it freely

Exodus 20-3 – One of 10 commandments in Exodus-thou shall have no other God before me

Take these three scriptures as challenges

-         Psalms 119:59

-         James 1:12

-         Romans 12:1

2: Cor 4:3 - If the Gospel is hid, it is hid to them that are lost
