Helping Hands - Knockmore GAA - In this programme the focus of volunteerism in the community is through the power of the GAA at grass roots level. It will look at how each and every job is done on a voluntary basis to keep alive the very heartbeat of the community. We travel to Knockmore GAA club and get a real insight into the importance of the GAA in the local community of a rural area. We explore the social aspect as well as the business end of running a GAA club, all voluntary. And we ask just why, the GAA is such a passion for those involved. This documentary was being funded by Broadcasting Authority of Ireland with the television license fee and is presented by Laurita Blewitt.
