I decided to share some lessons I learned from having two tough, complicated, back-to-back surgeries and unexpectedly being in the hospital for just short of a month. Suffering isn't fun, as we know, but it is universal. We will all suffer throughout our lives. So how can we do it well? What if we don't want to? What if we just want to run away? Is there any good in our suffering? I've had some time in my recovery to ponder some philosophical questions about it all, so look out! Here we go.
