The Cheerleader in the Trunk (Frederick Jane Doe)

The Cheerlead in the Truck is the nickname for a young woman who was found in the Frederick City Watershed in Maryland. She was around 5’4, or 163 centimeters. Investigators believe she was between 17 and 27. We aren’t exactly sure how long she had been dead for, but it was no sooner than Spring 1982, and no later than 10 years prior. At the time of her death, her hair was medium-length and dark brown, but could have been auburn naturally. She was given her nickname because her feet and pelvis bones were worn greatly for her age, leading people to believe she was some type of athlete. Listen to more of her case on this podcast episode.
