Defconn (Hangul: 데프콘; born January 6, 1977) is a South Korean hip hop singer and occasional comedic television presenter. He was relatively unknown until 2013, however, he was known for his afro and comedic nature. In addition to his music career, he is also a prominent television host, who is well accepted by critics.

Biography

2004

On 2004, he was awarded best accent for a Dance/Hip Hop song. His songs are mostly comical about sexual attentions and wishing for more popularity. And, one song is about the incident where two South Korean girls lost their lives to an American military tank, which sparked Anti-Americanism in South Korea at the time. He is one of the better known underground rappers in South Korea. He also continues his career as an MC and host in South Korea.

2012

Since June 2012, he has been singing Hip Hop and Rap with comedian and entertainer Jung Hyungdon, as Hyungdon and Daejun. The album's title is "Gangsta Rap Volume 1". They have sung a total of five songs; Intro, The Gloomy Song, Yes or No, Hanshimpocha (한심포차), and Olympic Expressway.
