Letia Frandina is a founder and Board member of the Downtown Denver Expeditionary School in 2011 and currently the Executive Director. She earned her doctorate in communication studies from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. Her research and professional background is invested in inclusive community building and public spaces. She ran a start-up community space and business for families, Little Closets, featured in New York Magazine, before returning to her home state of Colorado. She is a first generation college graduate of Colorado State University, an adjunct professor, and a graduate of the 2015 Downtown Denver Partnership Leadership class. She believes in student-centered, community-focused education for all four of her children.
