In June 2005, 21-year-old Kristin Mitchell was ready to take off in life. She was a recent college graduate with a sales associate position lined up with General Mills just outside of Philadelphia. She moved into her new apartment and was feeling like her hard-earned dreams were becoming reality.
The one major flaw in her life was an overly controlling and emotionally abusive boyfriend. She took steps to break up with him on June 3, 2005. That was a fatal mistake.
Her father, Bill Mitchell, joins us to share her story, her memories, and how he used this unforeseen tragedy to prevent others from losing their child too. If domestic/dating violence can happen to Kristin Mitchell, it can happen to anyone.
