Calverley studied harp and piano at the Royal Conservatory Of Music in Toronto and won a music scholarship for piano. In addition to composing Calverley is also a writer, painter, meditation teacher and world traveller.
In the late 1980’s he took up residence in Changmai, Thailand as a director of a meditation centre and a teacher of journalism, poetry and English at the University of Changmai. He has produced five albums, “Celtic Mysteries”, “Avalon”, “Celtic Mysteries II”, “The Celtic Mysteries Collection” and “Bard Of Hearts”.
Currently, he is writing about the ancient mystery schools with a special focus on their bardic traditions, their symbolic runes and the mysticism of sound.
