That synth gave him many hours of exploring his musical desires.
Feeling most comfortable playing the minor keys, Martin began to create very syncopated new-wavish rhythms, and recording them onto tapes through his ghetto blaster, which he would share with the local kids in the neighborhood. It was the start of a life long passion.
While working for a multimedia company in creating soundscapes for PC games & videos in Toronto Canada Martin became familiar with other electronic artists such as Aphex Twin, Autechre, Plastikman, Squarepusher, Bochum Welt. It changed & influenced the way he approached music & sound. Working along side with Jason Amm (Solvent) in the office audio studio, Martin took full advantage of the environment and grew his musical successes by leaps and bounds.
In the mid 90’s Toronto was at the forefront of the international club and rave movement. Being surrounded by all these beats and rhythms, Martin explored many music styles ranging from minimal to trance, jungle and breakbeat. His results always held a certain sound characteristic unique only to himself.
Sharing his music with his close friends he developed awareness on the value of his craft. His first album- Witness, a varied selection of electronic moments that take you from contemplative soulful vibes to crunchy raw beats and everything in between. Released in October 2007, Witness is available on most mainstream music retail sites.
