Camp Climax for Girls released the album “Ten Dollar Birds” in 2004 on Anomer Records. With “Ten Dollar Birds” Camp Climax found critical fame acclaim their per-version of blues rock. Taking an experimental approach to classic rock, their sound was drawn from equal amounts of love for 70s classics (AD/DC, Led Zeppelin) modern heavy shit (Mastodon, and the Ipecac Recordings lineup), their forefathers (Drive Like Jehu, Melvins, Dazzling Killmen) as well as from their contemporaries Comets on Fire, Rye Coalition, and Tight Phantomz.
After the release of “Ten Dollar Birds” Camp Climax toured the United States with Scouts Honor, Bleeding Kansas, Nixon, The Great Redneck Hope, Ari. Ari and others. The band called it quits in 2005.
