Episode 2 My Sense Of Safety Was Shattered (Jen's Story Pt 2)

I pinned her up against the wall as I watched her fight a panic attack. I felt the weight of her body to heavy for me to hold up. I called someone to help me so she wouldn't fall.  We laid her on the floor where she experienced a new and  more urgent emergency. What do I do? I couldn't let her die! This is the conclusion of my story featured in Episode 1.

He had my cell phone, my wallet with my current address where I lived alone.  I changed how I lived, how I drove home. After 10 days, I went back to work against my therapists advice.

As a victim, you will hear how I lost more than my sense of safety as I struggled to turn the corner and become the survivor I am today. Just when I started to get there, 2 years later, I received a phone call which took me right back to the moment I heard, "Give me all your money!"

After I share the conclusion of my story, I introduce a special guest, Alan P. Smith a clinical social worker.  He is here to discuss the trauma associated with these types of events.
