She is of Bengali, Japanese and Russian descent, as her father is from Bangladesh and her mother is Japanese with a quarter Russian heritage. In commercial modeling, she is best known for her regular appearances in the Vivi fashion magazine. She has become known more widely as a talento since 2011, with her countless appearances on television shows. In October 2011, Rola made her musical debut as a featured vocalist on Issa (of Da Pump) and SoulJa’s song “I hate u”. She made her solo debut in July 2012 with the song “Memories”, the theme song for the film “Kyurem vs. the Sacred Swordsman: Keldeo” in which she also has a cameo voice appearance.
After making several appearances in the Popteen magazine, she began appearing in the Vivi magazine in 2008. She has since active in the runway scene, making numerous appearances in shows including large show-events such as Tokyo Girls Collection, Shibuya Girls Collection, and Girls Award.
Rola began to be known as a talento, or in her case television personality, in June 2010 when she made her first appearance on television on Nihon TV’s variety show “Shabekuri 007” alongside two fellow models Lena Fujii and Mitsuki Oishi. With 200 appearances on TV shows, she was named the number 4 “rising TV-star in 2011”. She has been a regular contributor to Fuji TV’s “Waratte Iitomo!” variety show since April 2012.
