TOTAL ECLiPSE - біографія, альбоми, пісні, кліпи

There are four bands with the name ‘Total Eclipse’.

#1) Total Eclipse is a psytrance/goa band originally formed in 1992 in France by Loïc Van Poucke, [bandmember from=”1992” to=”2001”]Serge Souque[/bandmember] and Stephane Holweck.

Their first tracks appeared on a few compilations in 1990, and by 1994 they had a few singles out with Dragonfly Records and T.I.P. RECORDS.

Their first full length album Delta Aquarids and the double CD Violent Relaxation were released in 1995 and 1996 respectively, both with Blue Room Released.

They also had a single song, Psychedelic Terrorist, on the album Tsunami, released in 1999.

#2) Total Eclipse is also the name of a legendary and newly-resurrected power/thrash metal band from San Francisco, initially active between 1998 and 2003 and now, after a 4-year hiatus, back in action with a new formation and a new sound. The first line-up included Andy Dracons Giardina (vocals)- now the only original member in the new line-up-, Erik Cameron (guitars), Chris Cameron (guitars), Owen Hart (bass), and Ramon Ochoa (drums).

After a successful self-produced demo released internationally (“Guardians of Metal”, 2000) which caused a riot in the press, a highly acclaimed worldwide album released under a major record label (“Ashes of Eden”, Limb Music, 2003) to their credit, and a newly-released second album (“Spellcaster”, self-released, 2008) now on sale, Total Eclipse are recognized as being principally responsible for reviving the dormant metal scene of the late 90s in the San Francisco Bay Area and leading a new wave of metal across California and the world.

The “Ashes of Eden album also saw the participation of renowned producer Uwe Lulis (Grave Digger, Rebellion, Wizard, etc…) and legendary Piet Sielck (Iron Savior, Blind Guardian, Paragon, Heavenly)

With their new second album now recently released, “Spellcaster”, which was also produced by Uwe Lulis, recorded in the Bay Area and – appropriately – somewhere near the Black Forest in Germany, the band continues to hold the flag up high in the name of heavy music

In October 2007, singer Andy Dracons Giardina decided to resurrect Total Eclipse after the band’s 4-year hiatus from the scene. As the beginning of a new and reformed line-up, the reincarnation of Total Eclipse sees the introduction of Brian Davy as the first official drummer of the new formation. Andy D. Giardina reprises his role on vocals and as “sonic transducer,” but will also be handling guitar duties and writing all the music from now on. A new bass player is yet TBA.

Upcoming projects include a new album, and the re-release of their original “Guardians of Metal” demo, re-mixed and remastered with additional material including live covers of songs by such popular names as Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Megadeth, Slayer, and Forbidden among others, played live by the band at venues across Northern Calfornia.

#3) The third band of that name was a Polish heavy/power metal band from Bialystok. They only managed to release a four-track demo in 2000 and re-release it a year after with two additional songs.

#4) The fourth is a heavy metal band with lead singer Bernie K. and drummer Dave “Skavido” Brown from Sound Barrier and Masi. They with Victor Johnson on gutair and Dre Baby on Bass, released there only self titled album, Total Eclipse in 1992. This was released through Tabu Records. They covered the Commodores 1975 hit Slippery When Wet on this album as well.
